EUMA Germany and Social Responsibility
For the fifth time in a row EUMA has chosen a social project to support financiallz. After giving 700 Euro to Ankerland e V.(www.ankerland.org) last year, members now decided to support “Wunschträume e.V.” an organisation which helps young girls and women to improve their living- and educational standard. For more information please visit the website www.netzwerk-wunschträume.de.
By the way: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was the topic which the Annual Conference 2006 in Malmö focused on. CSR means taking responsibility in the fields of economy, the social sector or environment aiming to make a sustainable contribution to the collective good.

Training Day "Intercultural Competence" and national AGM in Munich
The National Groups of EUMA Germany, Spain and Austria were pleased to wecome their members and guests, as well as members from EUMA France and Belgium, to their joint spring training „Sharing Worlds – Intercultural Competence, your key to success“ in the Munich Maritim Hotel. Our trainer Gesa Krämer provided all the participants with helpful instructions for a quick „knowledge of cultures“ in order to amplify their intercultural competence!

Secretaries Day
Our Corporate Member working@office organised this event in cooperation with the two professional associations bSb Bundesverband Sekretariat und Büromanagement e. V. and European Management Assistants Germany e. V. Both, bSb and EUMA, were pleased to present their associations and invite participants to contact them and benefit from membership.
All participants gained useful input for their professional and private life from the speaker, Kara Pientkalisten, and used the opportunity to network with colleagues and friends. They enjoyed the positive atmosphere and the celebration of the annual Secretaries Day.

Congratulation to Germany's best secretaries 2010!!!
Catherine Fuchs from Munich is the first winner of the competition "Germany's best secretary 2010" ("Deutschlands beste/r Sekretär/in 2010"), carried out by our corporate member Esselte-Leitz. Janina Schauer from Bad Soden and Nicole Ringswald from Rheinfelden were awarded as second and third best candidates. EUMA Germany e. V. invites the first three winners for a one year EUMA membership. EUMA members Doreen Grötchen (first winner 2009) and Viera Schleidt (National PR Officer) were jury members together with Leitz, bSb, working@office and topmodel Lena Gercke.

Best Western Premier Hotel Regent in Cologne
Round table - networking event
Sekada, belonging to our Corporate Member VNR Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft, organised this networking event for management assistants. Different teams met at eight "round tables" and discussed different job-related issues. Participants got useful input from experts and met other management assistants. EUMA was cooperation partner of this event.

50th OFFICE Kongress: expertise for your success
For the first time the Office Kongress, organised by our Corporate Member Sekretariat Seminare, took place in Hamburg and it was a great success. Expertise and efficiency were the main topics, presented by very competent, experienced and entertaining trainers (some EUMA trainers as well) and moderated by Sabine Asgodom. Some 120 participants enjoyed the variety of topics like Change Management, Economics, Time Management, modern Correspondence, Teamwork, etc. and took the opportunity to network intensively. This jubilee event was hosted by our Corporate Member Steigenberger Hotel Treudelberg Hamburg.

EUMA Germany and Social Responsibility
For the fourth time in a row EUMA has chosen a social project to support financially. After giving 910 Euro to Kinderhilfe Afghanistan (www.kinderhilfe-afghanistan.de) last year, members have now decided to support “Ankerland e. V.” an organisation giving therapy to traumatised children and young people. Spring Training "Führen aus der 2. Reihe" and National AGM
EUMA Germany e. V. was pleased to welcome more than 40 members and guests to the training day in Dresden. All participants enjoyed the interesting and inspiring course "Führen aus der zweiten Reihe" with Daniela A. Ben Said (winner of the Coaching Award 2008), the social programme - a city tour and welcome reception sponsored by nh Hoteles - and the entertaining dinner at the Sophienkeller. During the Annual General Meeting the National Committee went over the activities in 2008 and 2009. Our National Treasurer, Ursula Wartha, was reelected for another two-year term. Ankerland e. V. (www.ankerland.org) was chosen as our Social Project 2009.

Doreen Grötchen from Berlin has won the competition to find "Germany's best secretary 2009" ("Deutschlands beste/r Sekretär/in 2009"), carried out by our corporate member Esselte-Leitz. Andrea Eisentraut from Hamburg and Anna Sayler from Mainz were second and third respectively.
EUMA Germany e. V. as co-operation partner of the competition is giving the winner a year's free EUMA membership. EUMA members Marc-Oliver Schlichtmann (winner 2008) and Viera Schleidt (National PR Officer) were jury members together with Leitz, bSb, Forum, GWI, and working@office.
