Career@office in NeussThe second career@office took place on 4 November 2010 in Neuss and was really sucessful. Many visitors were attracted by the large-scale programme. Fair "career@office" at the Chamber of Commerce in Frankfurt/Main

This career fair for secretaries, PA´s and management assistants was organized by our corporate member Sekretariat Seminare / working@office. All the visitors used the opportunity to network with colleagues and friends, to further their knowledge and to learn something about trends in working life and to obtain useful information for their career.

EUMA Germany and Social Responsibility
For the fifth time in a row EUMA has chosen a social project to support financially. After giving 700 Euro to Ankerland e V. last year, members now decided to support “Wunschträume e.V.” an organisation which helps young girls and women to improve their living- and educational standard. By the way: Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) was the topic which the Annual Conference 2006 in Malmö focused on. CSR means taking responsibility in the fields of economy, the social sector or environment aiming to make a sustainable contribution to the collective good.

Training Day "Intercultural Competence" and national AGM in Munich

The National Groups of EUMA Germany, Spain and Austria were pleased to wecome their members and guests, as well as members from EUMA France and Belgium, to their joint spring training „Sharing Worlds – Intercultural Competence, your key to success“  in the Munich Maritim Hotel.  Our trainer Gesa Krämer provided all the participants with helpful instructions for a quick „knowledge of cultures“ in order to amplify their intercultural competence!

Our Corporate Member working@office organised this event in cooperation with the two professional associations bSb Bundesverband Sekretariat und Büromanagement e. V. and European Management Assistants Germany e. V. Both, bSb and EUMA, were pleased to present their associations and invite participants to contact them and benefit from membership.
All participants gained useful input for their professional and private life from the speaker, Kara Pientkalisten, and used the opportunity to network with colleagues and friends. They enjoyed the positive atmosphere and the celebration of the annual Secretaries Day.

Congratulation to Germany's best secretaries 2010!!!
 
Catherine Fuchs from Munich is the first winner of the competition "Germany's best secretary 2010" ("Deutschlands beste/r Sekretär/in 2010"), carried out by our corporate member Esselte-Leitz. Janina Schauer from Bad Soden and Nicole Ringswald from Rheinfelden were awarded as second and third best candidates. EUMA Germany e. V. invites the first three winners for a one year EUMA membership. EUMA members Doreen Grötchen (first winner 2009) and Viera Schleidt (National PR Officer) were jury members together with Leitz, bSb, working@office and topmodel Lena Gercke.

Round table - networking event
Sekada, belonging to our Corporate Member VNR Verlag für die Deutsche Wirtschaft, organised this networking event for management assistants. Different teams met at eight "round tables" and discussed different job-related issues. Participants got useful input from experts and met other management assistants. EUMA was cooperation partner of this event.
