Soirée de Noël
Euma Frankfurt and Euro London Appointments were very pleased to welcome members and guests to the "Soirée de Noël" at the Maritim Hotel, Frankfurt. 25 members and guests visited this event in spite of winter weather. The visitors enjoyed delicious cocktails and snacks and had the opportunity to attend a guided hotel tour. Euro London Appointments held a very interesting presentation about their work as Europe's largest independent language consultancy.

Controlling -
A Numbers Game?
European Management Assistants Frankfurt was very pleased to welcome members and guests to the controlling day workshop at the Mövenpick Hotel Frankfurt Oberursel. Torsten Balzer, a graduate mathematican and controller, gave us an insight into the world of numbers. He informed us of the purpose and role of controlling, its differentiation to other areas, as well as the important interaction between management and controlling to steer an enterprise. Terms as balance sheets, variable gross margin and profit and loss account were explained in understandable language and with a practical orientation. This workshop was a complete success.

Summer Networking
European Management Assistants Frankfurt and Secretary Plus were very pleased to welcome members and their guests to this year's Summer Networking Event, so to speak for "Inspiration and Networking at Sunset". 40 management assistants from the Rhein-Main region came together in the Sky-Suite of the Adina Apartment Hotel Frankfurt Neue Oper and used the opportunity to network and enjoy a wonderful meal accompanied by fantastic live music. "A successful event and a lot of new contacts. This was a very pleasant evening," said Tina Häffner (Head of EUMA Frankfurt) and Ulrike Möller (Head of SecretaryPlus Frankfurt).

career@office
How do I get the necessary know-how for my job as an assistant? Through expert tips, exchange of experiences with colleagues, and the know-how of manufacturers of office materials. The fair "career@office" - Germany's only fair for assistants and secretaries - offered us this mixture. About 600 visitors came to Frankfurt and shared this day with 36 exhibitors and many professional speakers with topics such as motivation, event management, correspondence, conflict management, right up to PC knowledge. It was also a successful day for EUMA. We met a lot of interested assistants and we are looking forward to welcoming them to our association. Frauke Schimke won the one-year membership at our tombola. Congratulations and welcome to EUMA Frankfurt!

"Matter of opinion" - draw attention to yourself!
European Management Assistants Frankfurt was very pleased to welcome members and guests at the Hilton Hotel Frankfurt to the regional event in May. The expert team which consisted of Ulrike Möller, Head of SecretaryPlus and Sabine Antonius, Photographer - "Das mobile Photostudio" as well as Petra Sickenius, Make up Studio, gave us helpful hints for the perfect photo for a job application. As a highlight two participants were choosen and got a perfect make-up followed by a photo shooting during this event. So, the audience had the opportunity to get an insight into the practical work of a make-up artist and to ask questions.

Training Day "Intercultural Competence" and national AGM in Munich
The National Groups of EUMA Germany, Spain and Austria were pleased to wecome their members and guests, as well as members from EUMA France and Belgium, to their joint spring training „Sharing Worlds – Intercultural Competence, your key to success“ in the Munich Maritim Hotel. Our trainer Gesa Krämer provided all the participants with helpful instructions for a quick „knowledge of cultures“ in order to amplify their intercultural competence!

Sending Flashlights – First impressions count

Dietrich Hildebrand, Image consultant and author of the book "Image + Stil = Erfolg!" from SCHMIDTHILDEBRAND Imageconsulting gave us a very interesting lecture on how to be successful in the world of business through clothing and appearance.

The first regional event concerning the topic "Travel Management -
Future and Today" on 10 March 2010 took place on the 7th floor with a fantastic view across the rooftops of Frankfurt at Fleming's Deluxe Hotel Frankfurt-City.
This very interesting lecture was held by Mr. Exler from FCM Travel
Solutions with main focus on how to reduce travelling expenses.
We were given many useful bits of information about this current topic in times of cost-cutting.
