Just recently, I went to a PA Summit in Munich which was very interesting. The very informative training/workshop was followed by networking with a flying buffet. My thoughts and beliefs were confirmed again: Most of the assistants are working in an international company and have daily contacts to colleagues or business partners in other countries. To be successful in your job, you always have to grow your international network and train yourself in meetings and workshops at national and international levels. That is exactly what EUMA stands for: continuous learning and training as well as networking, both on a national and international platform.
This year, we will have our national training from November 12 to November 14 in Frankfurt. We will learn more about Business Etiquette with the famous trainer Klaudia Binder. And etiquette not only stands for how to dress in business life. This training will cover themes such as giving a very good first impression, dress codes, manners, courtesy, small talk, business lunch/dinner and much more. Watch for our announcement and the invitation coming out in September!
On the international front, we will meet our EUMA colleagues in Brussels from October 21 to 23 with the topic ‘A Brave New World: Focus on What Matters for Your Future’. Following the 2007 credit crunch and the 2008 financial and economic crises, we would like to know how we can deal with this "brave new world" as a European business community and, on a personal level, as top management assistants in our everyday working environment. You will have the opportunity to exchange ideas with knowledgeable speakers from the European Commission and from successful and innovative companies. You can choose amongst a number of interactive workshops to help you fine-tune your personal skills. For further details see
www.euma.org.
Should you not be a member of our network yet, just attend a regional event to get to know EUMA. You have to experience EUMA live and see for yourself how many advantages this network offers for your personal and business development, on a national and international level. We look forward to welcoming you!
