Welcome to European
Management Assistants Germany e.V.
Site of our twinning partner
European
Management Assistants Germany e.V. is
a quality network of management support
professionals focussing on their professional
and personal development as well as on the
continued enhancement of their profession.
We can achieve this by
- Forming
a network of highly competent management
assistants
- Creating
an image of the management assistant
as an essential part of the management
team
- Providing
opportunities for training, cross-cultural
relationships, exchange of ideas, and
international meetings
Furthermore,
vital parts of the network are our corporate
members supporting us through their membership
as well as the business partners offering
their products and services to top executive
assistants.
The
association is a non-profit organisation,
which has no political aims and will not
engage in political or trade union activities. |

HISTORY
The
German group was established by 5 executive
secretaries in Hamburg on 7 June 1986, and
we are proud that 4 of them still belong
to our association. The original aims were
to improve the secretary's professional
status, encourage self development, and
to ensure that recognition was given to
those whose jobs require both intelligence
and considerable social qualities.
In
1996 and in 2006, the German group celebrated
its 10th respectively 20th anniversary at
the wonderful Schlosshotel Bühlerhöhe
in Baden-Baden. These events showcased the
excellent international network established
so far: EUMA members from different national
groups joined us on these special occasions. |

ORGANISATION
EUMA
Germany consists of a National Committee
and 6 regional groups, who meet regularly.
Depending on demand, the members themselves
decide which subjects, speakers, company
visits, trainings or cultural trips are
chosen. Therefore, there is a large variety
of events offered in the different regions. |

AGM
& AUTUMN TRAINING
The
AGM is an all members meeting to decide
on the future of EUMA Germany (e.g. election
of national committee, budget, strategies,
etc.). It is scheduled for a weekend in
spring. On this occasion, we either invite
a special guest speaker or we combine the
AGM with a Training Day.
In autumn, we arrange a major training event
mostly in English which is open to non-members,
too. Topics of this tailor-made event refer
to the latest management require-ments,
which should enhance our skills or lead
to a higher degree in a variety of experiences
and which are normally not offered by public
training institutes. Apart from our professional
lives as European citizens within a European
association we also intend to broaden our
cultural horizon by visiting places of interest
such as museums, exhibitions, theatre performances,
fairs, etc.
